If you are learning by building, you deserve context without being made to feel like an outsider. If you have shipped software for years, you still only have one pair of eyes—and perhaps several agents, repositories, terminals, and decisions competing for them.
Speed is useful. Losing the thread is not. A task can pass while its consequence stays unclear. An agent can ask for approval while you are looking at another project. A finished answer can be technically correct and still leave you unsure what changed, what matters, or what deserves a second look.
Context should meet you where you are.
Dex and Pip translate consequential activity into timely language. Not a flood of logs. Not a lecture you did not ask for. Just enough to help you decide.
Attention is part of the product.
SideQuesto stays quiet while the work is routine, speaks when something earns your attention, and keeps text available when voice is not right for the moment.
Useful should not mean intrusive.
Your prompts, source code, commands, and coding conversations are not sent to SideQuesto for analysis. The product is designed around minimized signals and local context, because trust cannot be added later as decoration.
You remain the author.
SideQuesto does not replace your coding agent or pretend to be the engineer. It gives you a few more eyes on the environment so you can question, approve, learn, and ship with your judgment intact.
Why I made it
I wanted a companion, not another dashboard.
I build with AI too. I felt the strange gap between watching an agent move at extraordinary speed and actually feeling present in the work. I did not need more raw activity. I needed the right sentence at the right time—a calm signal that helped me stay oriented while several projects kept moving.
That is the promise I want SideQuesto to keep: whether you are finding your way through a first ambitious build or coordinating systems you understand deeply, you should feel more capable after using it, not more dependent on it.
